Supply Chain Specialist - Central Canada

Summary:

This position is responsible for the coordination of goods to maximize profit. Through increasing efficiencies of both non-profit partners and our retail stores by trainingand  collaboratively with the Regional Supply Chain Manager (RSCM).  They ensure seamless and timely flow of goods. The Supply Chain Specialist (SCS) is the primary liaison for both our retail stores and the logistics functions of local non-profit partner network.  The SCS reports directly to the RSCM.

Essential Job Functions:

• Troubleshoots and provide support for the day-to-day business partnerships with stores, team members, Non-Profit Partners, Vendors, and external customers to build and maintain collaborative relationships.
• Provide comprehensive training for Non-Profit Partners and internal team members.
• Ensure our Supply Chain policies and procedures are followed to minimize legal exposure and supply chain/material handling costs and maximize product margin.
• Coordinate distribution of product and schedules through our logistic plans to maximize efficiencies and control costs.
• Complete audit for store and distribution centers and/or processing facilities to ensure accurate record keeping and partner payments and policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Conducts analysis and makes recommendations to management.
• Track Partner performance to contractual agreement.
• Resolve delivery discrepancies between the stores and non-profit partners to ensure proper monies paid and avoid excessive cost.

Minimum Required Education, Training and Experience:

• Knowledge of Supply Chain principles and best practices
• 3-5 years of experience in a role with proven problem solving, collaboration and prioritization skills
• Advance level skills in Excel

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to travel in various geographical areas 30 to 50% of the time, ability to work flexible schedule that could require early morning or evening
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to bend, raise hands above head, and navigate getting on and off a delivery truck
